•  Stephen is a Delegate for the State Bar Conference of Delegates on behalf of Alameda County .

•  Stephen has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Superior Court, handling an actual trial.

•  Stephen has served as a Small Claims Commissioner in Alameda County .

•  Stephen has been a Settlement Commissioner for many years in Alameda County .

Associations:

•  Current member of the Alameda-Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association and current President (serving a term from February 2006 through January 2007.) Stephen also serves on the Board of Directors for this organization. His particular contribution, other than serving as President, has been the establishing of a Mentoring Program to assist other attorneys with their cases and their questions for trial.

•  Current member of the Earl Warren Inn of Court in Alameda County . Stephen resides in the “Master” category, and his program (in 2005-2006) took second place nationally, as well as Best in the Chapter for that year.

Teaching:

•  Stephen taught for over a decade at the National College of Advocacy at Hastings .

•  Stephen was a faculty member for two years at the New College of California School of Law.

•  Before dedicating his time to his professional corporation, Stephen was also a guest lecturer at various law schools for nearly two decades.

Continuing Education of the Bar:

•  Stephen has been a co-author and contributing author to a number of Continuing Education of the Bar publications.

•  Stephen has also served as a panelist on presentations for the Continuing Education of the Bar.

Stephen has a Martindale-Hubbell rating of “AV”.
